LCNS has been such a staple in our community for so long, so when my child became old enough to attend we jumped at the opportunity to get him a spot! We were here for over 2 years until he went to kindergarten and the teachers, co-op way of life, and connections made with other families is irreplaceable. We are so excited to send our newest baby here when he gets old enough! β€οΈ

My 3 year started here in July of 2025. He has grown so much. He is learning invaluable skills that will take him through the rest of his life. I love how involved the parents are and how tight the community is! There is always another parent going through the same thing/willing to lend an ear/help navigate these difficult years. All of the teachers are beyond caring and compassionate. I often watch how they interact with the children so I can learn to be a better parent.

Weβve had a great experience at LCNS (AKA The Little Red Schoolhouse)! My 3 year old started there last January as soon as he was pretty much potty trained. The teachers there are excellent, very patient and kind. How do I know? Because I get to go to school with my son about once a month as the parent volunteer (part of the coop duties). FYI any member of your family, grandma/grandpa, even a friend or neighbor can be a classroom volunteer as long as they fill out the forms, pass a background check and a TB test. I go when I can get off work, my mom goes other times and my husband has been able to go a couple times too. My brother might volunteer this year too just for the fun of it and to learn from the teachers the best ways to deal with common toddler issues. I was worried before we joined that the coop duties would be too much to handle but they are really not bad - in fact it makes us feel more connected to the school community and I feel good knowing what goes on in the classroom. We looked at a lot of different preschools before settling on LCNS including Montessori and Waldorf programs. The curriculum at LCNS incorporates a lot of aspects we liked about those other programs
